The first Upstate NY Robot Battle was held in April 2004 at Walt's Hobby shop in Syracuse NY. There were 8 antweight and 7 beetelweights that came to slug it out in the double elimination tournament.
There was a standing room only crowd of 80 people watching as the bots tore each other to pieces in the arena. WTVH-5 TV covered the event and a small clip was shown on TV during the 6PM news.

The second Upstate NY Robot Battle was held in September 2004 at the Great Northern Mall in Syracuse NY. We had a great spot in the center of the food court! There were 7 antweight and 7 beetleweights that came from as far away as Ohio to fight it out in the double elimination tournament.
We had several hundred spectators stop by during the tournament. Some of them got a chance to compete with our House Robots, Red Agent and Goldfinger.

UNYRCC General Event Guidelines:
ARENAS:
The arena is 6 ft by 6 ft by 4 ft high. The frame is made from aluminum tubing, and the walls and top are 3/16" thick lexan. The floor is 5/8" thick plywood.
RULES:
UNYRCC events follow the RFL rule set.
EVENT GUIDELINES:
The events are held on a Saturday, usually starting at 12 PM. The tournament is double elimination, and usually lasts 5 hours. There are rumbles for each class.
The third Upstate NY Robot Battle was held in April 2005 at the Carousel Mall in Syracuse NY. We had a great spot in the center of the Mall! There were 13 antweight and 9 beetleweights that came from as far away as Ohio to fight it out in the double elimination tournament.
People could watch the fights from all 3 levels of the mall. We had a 50" TV to show videos, and we gave away lots of neat prizes to the kids in the audience.
